I have seen a report that Claudia Rosett has passed away. She was one of the good ones. She did some incredible work on the corruption of the UN.

Sounds like she was a true journalist, instead of a propagandist, which most who call themselves “journalists” are today.

Off and on there are these click bait ads that hint at something happening to an older person. Before I discovered the trap, I clicked on one that hinted at the passing of Clint Eastwood. The words were something akin to ‘So sad about Eastwood’ with a photo and link. I almost always look at, examine a link before clicking on it. This time I did not. Fortunately, it was not malicious, just junk. Since that one, I have never clicked on another. Any famous person who is older than younger could be used as bait.
If Claudia has been called home, she should get a posthumous Pulitzer. Then again, with all the crap that receives a Pulitzer these days, she may not want to be associated with it.
Too bad there couldn't be some sort of new Pulitzer-type award, that recognizes excellence in Journalism, and actual, genuine, Journalists.
