Also, a 1978 Suburu was a very good car, but for the total rust.

That’s because they kept the rolled steel outside. The ones that rusted away the quickest were the ones that got rained on the most before the parts were made.

They were holding up pretty well in Cody, Wyoming. I saw at least half a dozen in use there on a short visit.
