He also signed SB 1616 which chisels away at Florida’s Sunshine law by making the governor’s visitor logs and donor rolls private and not available for the public. It applies retroactively also. Trying to hide his out of state visitors and donors from Florida residents?
He nominated Dave Kerner, a democrat Palm Beach County commissioner, to be the Executive Director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. The department oversees driver licensing which can adversely effect voter rolls.
The no gay law that he receives accolades for only applies k thru 3rd grade. It should apply through high school it is the parents job not school to discuss such issues.
24 hours after appearing with Musk on Twit DeSantis signed into law CS/SB 1318 Spaceflight Entity Liability, which gives Musk’s Space X and other private space companies immunity from negligence lawsuits after an explosion or crash.
He signed into law SB 7050 which allows him to run for president without resigning as governor. Under previous law one had to resign.
He has signed some good legislation as well, such as restricting the use of a federal CBDC in Florida.
Signed into law the right to conceal carry without a permit in Florida.
But Florida still uses election voting machines even if the machines do not meet state certification requirements.
DeSantis has shown a mixed bag of results so far. Since he was re-elected he has shown himself to be a puppet of the globalists.
Is he meant to flush out the McConnell turtle wing of the Republican party and their donor class? Possible, but he is trying to conceal much of that information by curtailing Florida’s Sunshine Law in the name of ‘security’.
Also DeSantis has the Ivy league lawyer career politician pedigree of a DC swamp creature. He has never worked in the private sector. So that alone is to me a no go for anything beyond governor. Career politicians and DC swamp creatures are what got us in this mess in the first place.
Trump lives in Palm Beach Florida which is populated by globalists and their minions. So he definitely has the pulse of what DeSantis’ backers want, which isn’t MAGA. But DeSantis running has shown us who in the Republican party is not MAGA, i.e. who in the shadows is using him to further their goals. It also has shown us which ‘conservative’ websites are never Trump and not MAGA, such as Legal Insurrection.
DeSantis needs to do what he was elected to do be governor of Florida.
Good review of DeSantis activities. I’ll add the Disney crackdown that didn’t really change anything for Disney.
Thank you so much for your most excellent post.
I am saving it because you just know it is going to need to be posted again and again to remind readers & voters.
Thanks!

Energy Absurdity: When The ‘Climate Scientists’ Are Actually Sociologists
Excerpt:
Wikipedia says that “Phys.org is an online science, research and technology news aggregator offering briefs from press releases and reports from news agencies (a form of journalism sometimes pejoratively called churnalism). The website also produces its own science journalism.”
Because, science, you see. It’s all just so science-y.
But when the “science” on the topic of energy and climate is a study conducted by a pair of … wait for it … SOCIOLOGISTS, what sort of “science” does it amount to, really?
It’s a legitimate question now, since the people who run Phys.org are now touting a “study” conducted by “A pair of sociologists, one with the University of Milan-Bicocca, the other with the Climate Accountability Institute,” which purports to calculate what it calls “reparations” for climate change owed by big oil and gas companies world-wide.
Here’s an excerpt from the Phys.org story:
In their study, reported in a Commentary piece published in the journal One Earth, Marco Grasso, and Richard Heede conducted a survey of hundreds of climate economists to learn more about the financial costs associated with global warming and who should be paying for disasters that have ensued as a result.
But in the very next paragraph, the story says this:
Prior research has found that it is possible to tie certain environmental events to climate change—the current heat wave in parts of South Asia, for example, or excessive flooding in Myanmar and Bangladesh. As it stands now, governments wind up paying to restore order in such areas, or in some cases, insurance companies pay for those who have coverage.
So, these sociologists admit that we can’t tie “certain environmental events,” i.e., what normal people refer to as “WEATHER,” to the dreaded, all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful “climate change,” but we can somehow tie the damage caused by all that WEATHER directly to oil and gas produced by an array of deep-pocket companies.
This is nothing more than the corrupt politics of green envy on steroids, a hack “study” produced by hacks with no expertise in the field to be amplified by hack journalists at activist websites like Phys.org.
That is all it is.
But if this is indeed what passes now for “science,” then how about we get a pair of real scientists to conduct a similar study assessing how much we all owe these very same companies for producing the energy that has enabled our modern way of life, created hundreds of trillions of dollars in economic growth and facilitated dramatic reductions in global poverty and human hunger, and extensions of human life expectancies?
Let’s calculate the breathtaking value of all of that, offset it against these idiotic “reparations” concocted by freaking sociologists and promoted by Phys.org, and see which number comes out ahead? How about we do that?
Good lord.
[Hat tip to Dr. Tammy Nemeth (www.thenemethreport.com) for linking me to this despicable story.]
That is all.
