wow! Yeah. it’s too bad just anyone can be a parent. Too bad for the kids and the rest of us.
‘Used car salesman’ haha!
After those folks moved out, the whole neighborhood breathed a sigh of relief. I always told my kids that that family was my worst nightmare.
You wanna know what happened after they moved? A few months after they left, my oldest called to me and told me my worst nightmare was about to happen. I said “Honey, that can’t be right. You know my worst nightmare would be if B & B were walking down the street.” He said back to me, “Like I said, Mom, your worst nightmare.”
I told him to shut the door and lock it, and to go out the back door and get his little brother out of the yard, which he obediently did. They walked past our house to some other neighbor’s house and rang their doorbell instead. I made the instant decision that it was homework time, then dinner was ready.
Turns out their a-hole mother wanted to do some shopping nearby, so she dropped them off in the old neighborhood to “visit” while she perused the mega-store’s offerings. They hung around for a solid two hours before she picked them back up.
I’m still scarred by those people. It must be at least 25 years since that happened.
