There’s a “changing of the guard” happening too in IndyCars — as there has recently been in F1 — as the “old guard” qualifies more and more away from the front row, in many, if not all, races. Power, Dixon, Castroneves, Newgarden etc are further down in the pack. I remember it happening with Foyt, Andretti, Rutherford, Unser etc, as the years went by.
I know what You mean. I hear Indy 500 and instantly think of The Unsers. I hear Long Beach and it’s Little Al popping into My head.
