I’m an Ophthalmologist who early in my career specialized in diabetic eye disease and saw horrible things pre-A1C.
Now closer to retirement I’m more an Optometrist but when I inform my diabetic patients about things that can happen to them if they don’t get their sugar under control, they’re shocked.
Either their docs aren’t talking about it or it goes in one of their ears and out the other.
Gonna start giving these people flyers on the DASH and VLC diets.

It’s still not clear to me whether it’s the blood Glucose, or the Insulin levels that are causing damage to the Retina. Hopefully the FACTS about this comes out, at some point.
Did you observe correlations between blood glucose / prediabetes and ARMD?
