I always find it interesting that almost everyone involved in the “entertainment” industry that leaves the country goes to an almost totally white country. They NEVER go and live in Haiti or Africa. Fabulously wealthy people can live like kings anywhere, but they NEVER take up residence in a black-dominated country. You would think with all the virtue signaling, they’d head for a black country.

Seems like an unnecessary comment on a thread about her death. I think her widower husband is from Germany, at least that’s where they met. She found her peace as a naturalized Swiss citizen and that’s all that matters.

She had several hits that still resonate and her personal journey was inspiring to many in abusive relationships. She really thrived after leaving Ike.

Whoopie Goldberg once said she’d visited Africa and was thankful her ancestors ended up in the US. She said she never wanted to live in Africa and wouldn’t be who she is here. Doubt she’d ever say that on The View.

To the best of my knowledge, Tina Turner never played the race card. Ever. In another thread yesterday someone referenced an interview she did with Oprah and when the orca questioned her about racism, she replied to the effect of 'I don't have time for that'.

As for living in Switzerland... why live in some Third World hellhole where you have to worry about being kidnapped or robbed or all your wealth confiscated by a kleptocracy?
