I know nothing about NASCAR, but just curious - before this, was Bubba Wallace at risk of being demoted, relegated or removed from the main circuit? How has his record been?

Wallace was suspended for a week earlier this season after intentionally wrecking Kyle Larson after Larson squeezed Wallace against the wall a few laps earlier.

After Wallace took them both out of the race, he went to Larson's car and started shoving him before the safety people could take them away to the medical care center for post-crash examination.

NASCAR suspended Wallace for one race for "code of conduct" violations.
