Andy Rourke was fired from The Smiths by Morrissey leaving a note on is windshield that said "Andy. You have left The Smiths. Good luck and goodbye." I hope he got a more respectful farewell this time. Pancreatic cancer is scary. There is a light that never goes out.

I just looked at a number of articles on the guy dating back a few years.

If the illness was indeed “lengthy”, doesn’t look like anyone knew or suspected.
