Will We Wake Up When We’re Hungry?

It’s safe to say that at no time in human history have more people been better fed than are in our current era. So of course the left has to make sure that doesn’t continue.

John Kerry, the man who has almost perfected the art of looking down his nose at the commoners so very far beneath him, told a group of co-elitists at a recent climate summit that, in the words of a Reuters reporter, “cutting greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural production is essential to the global fight against climate change.”

In Kerry’s own words, he claimed “we can’t get to net zero, we don’t get this job done, unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution.”

The special presidential envoy for climate, a job he is perfectly suited for as it requires no accomplishments, only a membership in a “select group of human beings” and an enormously inflated sense of self, then confused matters by declaring that “a 2-degree future could result in another 600 million people not getting enough to eat.”

“You can’t continue to warm the planet while also expecting to feed it.”

So let’s see if we have this right: The way to feed more people is to slash agriculture production?

The eco-zealots who have stoked the climate scare aren’t open to genetically modified farming, which can increase the yields of some crop varieties by a factor of 10. Kerry and the climate cabal are simply not interested in any sort of innovation that would boost not only crop harvests but the nutrition density of our foods.

What, then, is their solution for feeding the masses while at the same time lowering greenhouse gas emissions? Of course – we must reduce food consumption and when eating is absolutely necessary, gobble up some bugs. The climatistas are focused on a forced austerity.

If every country on Earth confiscated every penny beyond bare subsistence from every person alive and spent it all on “climate”, they could not affect the global temperature by one degree or the sea levels by an inch.

If every human disappeared tomorrow, the Earth would continue in its slightly irregular orbit of the Sun, with its little wobble, as it has since God set it spinning. Winter, spring, summer and fall would progress as always. Natural cycles would continue; global temperatures would change periodically, glaciers would advance and retreat, ocean levels would rise and fall, deserts would become savannas and savannas would become forests or wetlands. Some forests and wetlands would revert to desert. Over eons of time tectonic forces would push up mountains and volcanoes would erupt, and over more eons they would be worn down by wind and rain.

This would continue until the day of the Lord’s choosing, when our Sun goes nova and reduces the planet to ash.

The main difference is that there would be no liberals around to lie about it.

If 1/3 of the US wheat harvest has been deemed not harvest able quality as some have suggested,
and is left in the field, hunger will be upon us sooner than we thought.
Weather is a fickle issue with drought, then flooding, then drought again in the US grain belt
Prepare accordingly !

“What is a reasonable rational person to conclude?”

That John Kerry and his ilk need hemp neckties.

I’ve been prepping since 9-11, and am well-prepared on almost every front. Medical is dicey, since CCP-China makes 96% of our meds.

If the wheat in my neighborhood is any indication of a broader trend, I'd say that claim may not be far off the mark.

150 acre wheat patch across the road from my house... so far this spring farmer guy has applied nitrogen fertilizer once, sprayed once for bluegrass and wild onions, and sprayed fungicide just last week. It's a beautiful piece of wheat right now, but I can't imagine how ol boy is going to make any money on it.

80 acre wheat patch up on the corner has already been sprayed with glyphosate and planted to soybeans.

Different plants reflect different and identifiable wave lengths of light.

Your clandestine bean, squash and corn plants will be detected and reported to authorities from satellites in space.

Quit thinking that you'll be able to 'sneak-around' and grow your own food.
