The Main Intelligence Directorate published on May 20 an audio interception of a conversation of a Russian soldier, who talks about the murder of about 400 people in Kreminna, Luhansk Oblast, including women and children.
During a conversation with a woman he calls “granny”, the Russian war criminal brags that they went “on an assault” that night.
“Today, when we came in, we started whacking civilians and all the f***ers, just whacking everyone, just shelling the holy f*** out of them,” the soldier says.

“Granny, I’m telling you, we popped at least 400 people at night. ... We also have machine gunners, and they mowed down everyone: children, women, men, locals, non-locals. They just mowed everybody down. We went into the houses and just shot them, we were just sick of everything. We were just given an order - guys, take Kreminna - and we just mowed it all down, gran.”
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine assured that there will be a just retribution for every war crime committed against Ukraine.
At the end of April 2023, Ukraine’s spy chief Kyrylo Budanov promised that Russians who committed war crimes or crimes against humanity in Ukraine would be found and destroyed in any part of the world.
