Of course they will say this. It's one lie after the next. Zelensky looked like a deer in the headlights when asked if Bakhmut fell. All he could say was there's nothing in Bakhmut but dead Russians. How about the dead Ukrainian soldiers? He sent thousands to their death in the city. A force of 50,000 Wagner's pushed out 120,000 Ukrainian forces. That's pretty impressive for convicts with shovels.

Zelenskyy is absolutely right. bakhmut is filled with dead Russians. Progozhin was even photographed mourning all his dead soldiers, with bodies lying around him. Russians mostly flee without making any effort to collect their dead and return them to family. Ukraines solders are rarely abandoned like that. Also now that almost all the buildings have been blasted and just recently fire bombed to cinders, the city is pretty much abandoned by all.
