My experience as well. Most of the blacks that I know are involved in the MAGA movement, and just about all of them are churchgoers.

I agree. This isn't a race issue at all. This is an idiot issue. This kind of prank is never funny and if it gets him killed, he deserved it.

This. I would highly recommend people read Dr. Sowell’s books on race and how the black family was comparable in economics, marriage etc. until LBJ & it didn’t negatively just impact black families. Plenty of broken, drug addled white people too. His book, Black Rednecks & White Liberals was eye opening.

I hope you’re right. The thing is the people in your church are spiritually inoculated against these evils by Christianity, a creed of hope and elevated spirituality. When that’s missing, the races seem to act out in different ways. Violence seems to be one way that’s favoured by the group in question.
