Would you rather vote for someone who pretends he one way in public to impress you, or would you rather vote for someone who doesn't have to pretend he's someone he's not in public, and behaves the same way in private? I believe in consistency. Sounds like you want Trump to perform like a trained monkey, and behave the way you want him to behave. With Trump, you either take him the way he is, or you don't take him at all. He isn't going to change one iota, no matter how much complaining you do. I'd rather vote for someone who is true to himself, and true to me. Not one person in public, and another in private. There's already too many of them in the GOP to count.

I think Trump kind of pretends when he insults public figures just as they do when they insult him.
The problem is not me “taking him as he is”. It’s that too many other voters can’t take that.
