Many of us here have speculated that our State Dept and CIA were involved in arms shipments that would NOT have been approved by congress. It has always been logical.

On the other hand, our support for the “Arab Spring” NEVER made any sense to me given that our stated goals with combat/”peacekeeping” operations in the sand box were to prevent terrorism and bring stability to the Middle East.

I don’t know what story to believe, but admit that anything showing that the administration at the time lied fits my world-view. I also believe this could have happened because few people truly comprehend the “hubris” of these Ivy-league know-nothings. They are idiots and dangerous idiots because they are so full of themselves and so convinced they are right.

Much of our government has “their interests” and not ours at heart.

My view is that the Arab Spring was driven by Obama’s vision for a “de-colonized” Middle East, to use the leftist lingo. He seemed to have special contempt for ME leaders and governments that aligned with the United States, viewing them as toadies and betrayers of the natural Islamic will of their publics (which for the left is conveniently anti-American and anti-Western).
