On T right now Janet Yellen says “Hard choices have to be made.” So she is admitting that choices do exist. House Republicans have already made those choices.
The choice boils down to this. Continue to spend more than we have or tighten our belt. A hard choice for some more than others.
Only in politics is not spending money that is appropriated but not yet spent defaulting on the debt.
Imagine telling your banker that if he doesn’t approve you a loan to buy a new car that you budgeted for that he is making you default on your debts?
You will either have found the dumbest banker there has ever been or be laughed out of the building.
I’m betting for the latter. But if you do find the dumbest banker ever will you tell me where he works?
