Ukraine does not have the troops for a counter offensive. That is why all the talk and the delays while Zelensky bides time to fold his cards. The good thing for Ukraine is that there will still be a Ukraine after this is over, although a bit smaller. We had no vital national security interest in this conflict Biden promoted and fueled by advocating NATO admission for Ukraine raising the spectre for Putin of American troops and military hardware on the Russian border and Biden should thank his lucky stars that Russia was not able to take Kiev at the outset of the war

It never fell and the people I watched never said it fell. Do you think it fell as of today? I haven’t watched much about it today but it looks like Ukraine had to leave the last block it was holding. They fought like hell but couldn’t repel Wagner. I think it was the artillery and rocket attacks that made the difference. Russia seemed to have a big advantage in artillery strikes.
