Isn’t Weiner German for Vienna? Wien is German for Vienna, and Wiener means Viennese. The sausages in question are Wiener Würstchen or, especially in Austria, Wiener Würstl.
Weiner (from weinen--to cry or weep) means weeper and is probably related to the English word "whiner.".

I had a few years of French. I know what “Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?” means. I once met a sixth grader who went to a private school where they were teaching him French. He knew that phrase.

Last I heard, there were six Wienermobiles. I saw one about a year and a half ago in Picture Rocks, AZ, but by the time I went home and got my wife, it was gone.

Sign on it said it was participating in the “Tour de Franks.” Had to laugh.

Perhaps at around the same time, I saw and photographed a Wienermobile in the parking lot at a WalMart on US 90 just off I-10 in Tallahassee. Does that make us Wienermobile brothers?
