Prince Harry and Meghan and her mother were involved in a "near catastrophic car chase" involving paparazzi photographers, a spokesperson for the prince has said.
The incident lasted over two hours and resulted in multiple near collisions, the spokesperson said.
“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD (New York Police Department) officers,” they added.
“While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety.
“Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all in involved.”
It followed Meghan’s attendance at Tuesday night’s Ms Foundation for Women’s 50th anniversary gala event in Manhattan with her husband, Prince Harry, and mother Doria Ragland.

From what I hear the only danger caused by anyone was by the 4 (FOUR) SUV’s full of private security they had surrounding them who had to be stopped by police from shutting down cross streets.

Seems the whole “near catastrophic car chase” was due to Meghan and Co. trying to protect the address of the friend’s apartment where they were crashing. Because they were too cheap to pay the hotel published rate.
Harry also lost a court case in the UK didn’t he?
