Combat aircraft go through a lot of engines, and the Mig-29 plant and warehouses caught fire. The planes can not be replaced because they rely on foreign electronic parts. Fewer engines to keep them will limit the flying time of the fighters that use those engines.

Russia lost more land in a week than they took in months, lost four planes, lost a fighter engine plant and warehoused engines.
