Historians once referred to the 1890s as the “Gay 90s”. Doubt they use that description any more. Ironically, it appropriately describes the 1990s.
The 1990s was the Golden Age of indie filmmaking, which saw the release of many sexually "edgy" films, including many gay friendly films.
It was the decade when Seinfeld popularized the term, "Not that there's anything wrong with that!" -- signalling that "polite society" no longer tolerated "homophobic" comments.

There was a year in the mid-1990s when one of the major networks (can't remember which one) promised viewers that 199x was going to be the "gayest" TV season ever.
The Left just kept destroying our culture, a little bit at a time. Look how far they've come since then.

when Seinfeld popularized the term Because it's not "just entertainment". It was NEVER "just entertainment". Whether it's beer, soap, and breakfast cereal or an ideology, commercial "entertainment" is selling something.
