Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is convinced that Ukraine will win the war, but there is still a “very long way to go”to victory.
“I see how this can be done (to win the war against Russia. - Ed.), I see what else needs to be done for this. But I know for sure that there is still a very long way to go to victory. It is very long and difficult,” he said in an interview with Dmitry Komarov on Friday, May 12, the censor reports.

Winning and losing is an inherent fact of war. The clashes between two armies and all the factors that influence these clashes determine the winner or loser of the war. Winning is undoubtedly possible by believing in victory. Believing in victory means fighting for the independence and territorial integrity of the country. A detailed analysis of the developments in the Russia-Ukraine war clearly shows that Russia lost. In the first days of the invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army lost most of the territory it occupied.
This is because the soldiers in the Russian army learned the truth as the war continued. The war was being fought for Putin’s personal interests and political career. Soldiers who did not want to die for this naturally lost faith in victory. Because the war was not for the independence and integrity of the country, but for Putin’s ambition!
Russia, which is losing on the front line and constantly experiencing problems within its own army, is becoming exhausted day by day. The soldiers of the Ukrainian army, who believe in victory, are cornering the Russian invaders with their operations. The cornered Russian army is forced to leave the occupied territories. Recently, a Ukrainian military leader claimed that the occupying Russian authorities in the Kherson region had started to leave the region.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made a new statement confirming this claim! The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on its social media accounts the other day that the occupying authorities serving in the city of Skadovsk in the Kherson region have left the city!
Before moving on to this statement, let’s talk about the importance of the Kherson region and what happened in this region in the past! The Kherson region was the first major region captured by the Russian occupiers. It was captured in the first months of the war and was liberated from the invaders in November as a result of the successful offensive of the Ukrainian army. The Russian army withdrew hundreds of thousands of troops from Kherson in November 2022, but left a limited number of troops in the region. Because this region had a strategic value that would affect the course of the war.
