Housing is often free. Such as NYC putting them up in hotels. Many are homeless, living on the streets of El Paso, NYC and other cities. I think they are getting huge payment EBT cards to pay for food and other things to live on.
Many are getting SS disability if they are older? What do you think is going on? How do they support themselves in America? Where is their money coming from in the Federal Government? State Governments too?
I am so disgusted by the Democrats sabotage of our Mexican border. On arrival, The invaders all get free phones to communicate with Homeland Security. But they also use these phones to coordinate this invasion. With their family and buddies in Africa, Asia, Latin America who are on their way to the Mexican border. And those back home who are thinking about coming.
These illegal invaders are not being health screened for any of the host of communicable diseases endemic in their countries of origin. I look for outbreaks of diseases like TB, polio, various tropical diseases and even Ebola. Like Orwell’s novel “1984”, Jean Raspail’s novel”Camp of the Saints” seem to have been prophetic for our current situation.

I have a friend in Texas who is over 65 and disabled. He has been trying for at least 2 years to get food stamps, medicaid and social security. He couldn’t even get an appointment to talk to them for over 10 months. After talking to the SS office multiple times he was told (quietly) that he is being put in line behind all the illegals. Talking to his elected reps has gotten him nowhere. This man would literally starve if we didn’t regularly send him money.
Is he a native Texan? Has he lived here very long?
Just curious, at his age.

Have a friend in a similar situation, but....she is a native TX and applied for her disability years ago. She tried for additional assistance, and, they offered her $20/mo additional.

I think Leftist women are the most dangerous creatures on earth. Women tend to value safety and security (which are fantasies) and vote accordingly. Men (or men of previous generations) tend to value freedom, opportunity, and independence. Women have won the war and are burying us.
I parents owned a grocery store when I was growing up. At the time it was food stamps. We stopped taking food stamps for the exact behavior you describe above.

He lived in Texas for many years, then went to OK to marry. 15 years later the marriage fell apart and he came back. He's been there for 4 or 5 years now, several of which he took care of his aged mother. He got no assistance for her, but she had enough SS to help keep them fed and housed. Now she has passed, and he's dancing, trying to get help for himself.
My guess is unconstitutional, unaccountable, end of 2022 omnibus spending.
These baby killing, leftist ghouls are on track to control our legal system. More women than men graduate law school. They trust and love big government. My bet is they (women) mindlessly complied with Fauci and Big Government, to get more poison vaxxxxxxes and boosters than men.
