He takes a step to give the roll call and says “yes”, slowly blinks his eyes and falls asleep. Shit, there’s 30 people standing there. Some of them not only fail, they get lost in the war zone. Then they come to us and say, ‘Take us prisoner because we haven’t eaten for 3 days. I have photographs proving that they died of starvation, not from bullets in the trenches. They were bruised and frozen to death.

-Russian authorities found out through social media that someone set fire to a military jet.
-Videos of the burning aircraft in Siberia emerged on pro-Ukrainian channels on Monday.
-Local security forces later found the scorched plane on the tarmac at an aviation plant.
An unknown saboteur broke into a Russian airfield and set fire to a supersonic jet, and the local authorities didn’t know it happened until they found out on social media, per reports from independent Russian media.
Footage of the burning aircraft emerged on Monday on the Telegram channel for the Freedom of Russia Legion, a Ukrainian organization that consists of military defectors from Russia and Belarus.
The damaged jet, a Su-24 model, was stationed near the town of Novosibirsk, Siberia, according to the Telegram post. Novosibirsk is some 2,000 miles east of the frontline in Ukraine.

Ukrainian government advisor Anton Geraschenko tweeted the video on Tuesday as well.
Local police then discovered the video online.
When security forces visited the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant, they found a burnt “1990 Su-24 with signs of arson” on the tarmac, per Baza.
But it reported that despite the Freedom of Russia Legion’s claims that the Su-24 was “completely destroyed,” the aircraft was “not particularly damaged.”

The latest report of the arson attempt comes as Russia celebrated Victory Day on May 9, a public holiday that typically features grand military parades commemorating its World War II victory over Nazi Germany.
This year, however, the event was uncharacteristically scaled back. Only one tank appeared, and no aircraft showed up.

Poland transferred 14 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine - this is half of all aircraft that Ukraine received from allies.
This is stated in a post on Twitter on the page of the permanent representation of Poland in the EU, Censor.NET reports.
“Out of all 28 aircraft that were handed over to Kyiv, Poland sent 14,” the message reads.
It is also said that Ukraine received 575 tanks from allies, and 325 of them from Poland. 85 - from the Netherlands, 80 - from Germany, 76 - from the USA.

The European Union will prepare 1 million 155 mm projectiles for Ukraine, as well as more than one thousand rockets.
This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell, Censor.NET informs with reference to UNIAN.
He reminded that the total aid to Ukraine from the countries and organizations of the European Union as of today amounts to 16 billion euros.
Borrell said that the EU has already trained more than 17,000 Ukrainian military personnel and plans to increase this number to 30,000 by the end of 2023.
“Now defense has the highest priority because we are faced with war. Therefore, it is important that the defense side of our foreign policy acquires more and more importance,” the diplomat added.
Borrell noted that without Western military aid, Ukraine would cease to exist as an independent state.

Defense Secretary Ben Wallace confirmed that the UK is transferring long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine.
Sky News writes about it, Censor.NET reports.
He stated that missiles of this type will be provided to the Ukrainian military.
