Sure, go ahead and argue with me over whether the battery charger I used to try to charge a completely dead battery worked or not.

Hint: It didn’t.

I ended up having to use a variable bench power supply to get enough charge into the battery so that the battery charger would detect it and start charging the battery.

It does seem to depend on the charger and the battery type it was made to charge. The battery charger I designed for field pumps would pulse a depleted battery; however, if the pulse drew no current it was declared unrecoverable. If the battery drew a lot of current each time it was pulsed but did not show a voltage after fifty tries it was declared unrecoverable.

The nitwits on those sites need all the help they can get.
