I agree with your Monty Python choices, and I think Alien is kind of a classic. I saw Super Mario Brothers in 3D IMAX over the weekend and thought, “meh...”. I did nothing for me.

I watched the John Wick movies on Bitchute and found them somewhat entertaining. I just saw Point Break for the first time and remembered how terrible and overrated Reeves is as an actor, but he did improve a bit in the John Wick series. Still, not a great set of films, but somewhat entertaining enough to watch all the way through.

Rather than recent movies, I find it much more fun to go through YouTube and Bitchute and look for classics and forgotten movies that I remember from long ago or haven’t seen yet. There are thousands of them out there free for the viewing.

If anyone knows other good sources for documentaries, old movies, etc., a la Bitchute, please let me know which you find the best.

Thanks for posting your vanity. It’s good for a change to not get “Chetted” or “Medic’d” or “Uke’d”. ;)

Aliens, not Alien. Two different films, Aliens showed off military tactics used by the USMC at the time, proper room clearing, holding back the SAW, omly using supressive fire for a “tactical Retrograde”

I will admit that Reeves is a bit wooden in his dialog, similar to Clint Eastwood. However it fits the Wick character, just straight to the point.

There are many honerable mentions on my list such as: 12 Monkeys, Grand Torino, Blazing Saddles, Space Balls, Rock n Rolla, origional Mad Max, Fight Club, Snatch, City of lost Children, Deathproof, Deadpool and too many more to list. Recently a new film came out, It is the most confusing and disturbing film I have seen, called Mad God, watched it 10 times now and am just as confused as the first time.

Personal lists are always subject to the person making them, what I see as film brilliance, others might not feel the impact because it doesnt relate to their life, same as songs. My list is not perfect, but it is perfect to me, and I hope others expand their minds by watching a few of the ones mentioned and making their own opinion on them.

If one is looking for action, there is at least one in my list or honerable mention, comedy pretty much covers all of them, dialog, yep got some Tarantino and Guy Ritchie as well as Kevin Smith.

It may be a very crude series to watch, but I do highly reccomend Kevin Smiths Clerks series, from a budget of $25k for the first film, to where he is today, its an American success story
