Well... I definitely do see the size factor you display, but for all my like anyway, we've seen illustration of the tectonic plates basically floating on a molten inner core. And if there is that amount of water beneath the surface, more than all surface water, then sometime, somewhere, something would give and the land would sink and there would be a huge ass friggin hole somewhere... Just saying...
