I really don’t get that. I’m not keen on any of the war-profiting, depopulationist royal family, with Charles clearly part of that. But his abiding love and final devotion to Camilla is IMO his most human and redeeming quality.
He loved her from the start, but opted to go for the prettier, more shallow Diana out of his sense of obligation to his role. That was clearly a mistake. But he eventually went as he should have from the start, despite the awkwardness of it all.
I’m happy he’s with Camilla as he actually has been in love with her- not so much Diana.
