He says Tapit Trice, Kingsbarns, Forte, Angel of Empire. Click the link above for his full analysis.
Will non-binary horses be allowed to compete?
More importantly, how much are mint juleps going for now?
This is a great tool. All races for each contender in ten minutes or so each. I’ve found it to be a fantastic way for me to waste even more of my time, along with my money, on KD handicapping. It looks pretty chalky to me with 3, 5, 14, 15 and throwing in Disarm and either Sun Thunder or King Russell as the exotic killers. I would love to have .10 supers in the KD.
Cangialosi has the favorite, Forte, coming in third.
Forte will not come in third. He has been scratched.
NBC just cut the mics and didn’t have the lyrics to “My Old Kentucky Home.”
I’m sure it’s racist. Or too Southern.
Seven horses have died at Churchill Downs since April 27, and two of the deaths are still a mystery. Five of the deaths happened in the week leading up to the 149th edition of the Kentucky Derby, and two more horses have been euthanized after suffering injuries in races just hours before post time.
The seven horses who've died at the track are:
Wild on Ice
Take Charge Briana
Code of Kings
Parents Pride
Chasing Artie
Chloe's Dream
Freezing Point
Wild on Ice last got injured on Thursday while training on dirt, while Take Charge Briana got hurt while competing on a turf race on Tuesday.
Per release, "both were ultimately euthanized for humane reasons" because the injuries they suffered were not something they would be able to recover from.
I should have read the better’s guide.
But my juleps are pretty good.
Congratulations to Mage, winner of the 149th Kentucky Derby in 2:01:49. He was a 15-1 shot. Paid $32.42.
