The space defined by the arc of the moving seat back does not belong to the person behind its sport.

If it interferes with my use for normal activities it does.

The space defined by the arc of the moving seat back does not belong to the person behind its sport. I am 6 foot 3. On most coach flights, my knees end up one inch behind the front seats back. The person in that seat can only recline one inch. Some travellers have complained about their "right" to recline being denied. I tell them to ask the flight attendant to bring a chainsaw to cut my knees off.
