It reminds of the old George Carlin joke where "anyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone driving faster than you is a maniac."
My own behavior must define the norm for everyone else. Is the person in front of you an ass only because he's in front of YOU? Would he still be an ass if he were sitting on the other side of the aisle?
