You may be right about Michelle Obama's intentions. If for some reason Biden was sidelined due to illness or other reasons, she would be available. It would also give the powers that be a reason to “retire” Kamala Harris. They could then run someone like Pete Buttigeg or Gavin Newsom as Vice President.
