The Countdown of Good vs. Evil: The 2024 Presidential Election
American Thinker ^ | 4 May, 2023 | Ron Wright

America is at a tipping point. Will we continue the downward spiral into a fascist third-world dictatorship? Can we change course back to a constitutional republic that values the free will of men and women, freedom of speech and assembly, the rule of law, and equal justice?

Already in the descent to an authoritarian state, free speech is suppressed and thought is censored and replaced by Orwellian New Speak enforced by the thought police. The free press is transformed into shameless state-run propaganda outlets that run the approved false narrative of the day (here)(here)(here)(here). The state takes guns away under the guise of public safety. The thought enforcers of the state supersede local control of the police. Scapegoats are created.

Yes, the evil of the 1930s is again rising. Victor Davis Hanson calls it "Our French Revolution." Biden is a mere puppet. The revolutionaries are the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Globalists, the radical Marxist left, self-dealing and corrupt politicians, the Deep State, the ruling elite, the leftist media complex, big tech, multinational corporations, and foreign adversaries. "These actors have robbed the public treasury of billions of dollars in broad daylight.” These actors seek and are driven by control of the people, to retain and gain more power and money.”

The constitutional checks and balances have failed to prevent the abuse of power and law violations because of corruption. Our sheepdogs have gone rogue and no longer protect the flock from rvil. The judiciary, the DOJ, the FBI, the CIA, and others have gone full Stasi supporting the authoritarian state (here).

‘Victor Davis Hanson calls it our French Revolution’

I call it Nazi Germany in the 1930’s and beyond

He is completely wrong here.

Our authoritarian state is the judiciary, the DOJ, the FBI, and the CIA.

The rest of the government is in the supporting role…

At the rate we are seeing the fall of the American Republic, within 10 years Mexico and Canada will be building a border wall to keep us out.

the part that covid and big pharma (health) had to play seems to be absent in this essay. health provided a big distraction during the 2020 election, and paved the way for blind public acceptance of quasi-expert opinion to run roughshod over heretofore immutable constitutional values. if the multinationals are the culprit, then this might be one way in which the multinationals breached the constitutional checks and balances. there might be other oversights.

otherwise, imho the essay provides interesting insights and a good overview of the situation.

i feel like a spectator on a hill overlooking a battle plain and watching my country losing in slow motion. i also feel that i am probably too old to be able to affect the outcome of the battle from a practicality point of view. beyond that, i feel that my primary responsibility is no longer saving the country, but saving myself and trying to help save my loved ones.

in this regard, another omission of the essay is the part that education had to play in the ongoing downfall of the USA. Many of the concepts that are in current vogue in the everyday evening news (eg social justice) were not in the common vernacular 20 years ago, but were present in the vernacular of big education (what else to call it?).

with big education having conquered and won the library system, the records system, and now (apparently) the military, our youth is no longer taught the concept of american exceptionalism. without the concept of american exceptionalism, our younger generations become vulnerable to the argument of “why are we not doing X? that is how europe does it.” examples include gun control, VAT, and government health care.

the bottom line for this is that the younger generations no longer feel a sense of loyalty to traditional american values. without this sense of loyalty, younger generations become intellectually weakened and susceptible to attack by concepts such as DEI (or DIE), etc.

There is also a gender gap. Most of the concerns discussed in this essay seem foreign to a certain gender which I will not name.

perhaps there are others who feel the same way?

slowly but surely our society is seems to have been re-engineered.

one test i have (since politics seems to have become impolite topic in everyday conversation) is whether or not we want to experience WW III given the direction of current events concerning Ukraine. I have difficulty believing that most people favor giving up their health, their livelihood, and their lives for the sake of a place they did not even know existed four years ago. but maybe that is just me. anyway, i still cannot find anyone who agrees that supporting the ukraine is worth playing the game given the worst possible outcome.

and all of this, versus mean tweets...

The Marxist/fascists vs. the controlled opposition.

How exciting.

Methinks that either way we’re in need of a national divorce. It’s getting too stupid. I don’t know what the details would be but the results will be obvious.

Who wants to run on the Divorce ticket? Coming together for defense would be the only thing to work together on. Even then the blue half would let the red do all the fighting.

State governments would be eliminated, replaced by individual county governments. Blue freckles spread all over the red face.
