No, they had been trying to introduce food other than breast milk, but the child couldn’t keep it down. Which is what initiated visits to the doctor. And the doctors couldn’t find a problem, which didn’t give them a solution to the issue. It didn’t sound to me like a case of severe malnutrition, just that the vomiting was something that had to be figured out & dealt with. The nurse did not say that the child was “in danger” which is the criteria for CPS to get involved.

Yet the child after being admitted to the hospital gained weight, yet lost a significant amount of weight again after being released back to the parents.
