I actually can see the validity of the ones “visual, auditory and tactile or kinesthetic”.
First heard it on an Anthony Robbins lecture. A man can say lots of sincerely loving words and a woman who intakes love by visual means would be unmoved but look for flowers and gifts and presents. An auditory man would be won over by sweet words of a woman. Someone would value hugs and hand holding and disregard promises and compliments. Various combinations with success and failure of couples. Interesting to me.
The type of person is discovered also by observing them.
Rush used to say “what I’m hearing is....” “I heard a liberal today.”(and had a radio show listening to people). “I don’t hear anything new in his proposal.” “You sound like you aren’t buying this.”
Others would say “I think I see what you mean” “I see that” “I’ve been looking into...” “It looks like....” “I feel like
something is wrong with this”
Or “I have a feeling that....” “We are getting closer together on this” and “His money offer was a slap in the face.”
