I’ve found “Better than Bullion” to be quite good.
I use that too. Darn beef bone prices are through the roof to make your own, although chicken is reasonable, since you can buy a whole bird and use its carcass.
I love Better than Bullion beef, but since I’ve discovered Asian Chicken Powder, that’s what I use for chicken. And it’s much cheaper than chicken Better than Bullion, if you buy it at the Asian store; it’s a lot higher at Amazon. It doesn’t have the yellow coloring in it, so you have to add that if you’re making gravy, but otherwise, its got a lot of flavor, and not as salty as regular bullion powder.
