chappaqua ny has “leaf-blower laws” - not sure how draconian, but I think NO ONE can use them at all. “The noise!” why can’t we just live and let live? NY wants to regulate EVERYTHING!!
I have never been able to comprehend the reasoning behind the use of leaf-blowers. I remember my first return visit to the States back in the 1990s, and how I thought, "How is this easier or more-efficient than rakes?!"
Now, I wonder why environmentalists don't excoriate their use. They produce not only major levels of noise pollution - but also create air pollution.

Some people might define "Live and let live" as not disturbing your neighbors with a frightful racket like that. Some might say that "boom boxes" were to be preferred.
