Welcome to the internet. If somebody messes up in a spectacular and contemptible way, people are going to call him out for it. The blowback he's getting isn't worse or less justified than the blowback people get online every day.
I have written posts that are too long and convoluted to make my point well. What we have had in this thread are people trying to shut down anyone who thinks that a specific non-politically correct clip about a virtue signaling multinational corporation was funny. And no, this particular clip was not "messed up in a spectacular and contemptible way" compared with the crap we are deluged with by the left almost every minute of the day.
To convolute this post... I will share another tale. My wife and I were at a picnic with a group of mentally challenged young people from a facility where she was on the board of trustees. A young couple came up to us and he said. “We have sex!” The young woman said, “All the time!” A short time later they were found copulating in the bushes by staff who thought there was some type of fight taking place.
Of course, at the picnic table one of the young men removed his member from his pants and began masturbating in front of the group. It was the largest penis that I have seen at any time in my life so at some level I can understand his desire to show it off. Fortunately, the staff was able to get him to put it back behind a closed zipper.
The young man was copulating at the picnic was known as the Don Juan of the facility as he was having sex with numerous partners. There was almost no control over this behavior as any attempts to reign in the situation was said to be violating the rights of the residents.
Birth control pills were powdered and mixed with the food of the young ladies who were known to be sexually active. Someone from the state declared that this was violating the young ladies rights even when it was requested by their families. So for a while there were quite a few unwanted pregnancies which virtually all were ended by abortions. Eventually, birth control pills in the food of the sexually active women was continued.
The point of this story in this conversation is that few if any of the virtue signalers here have a clue of what it is like to try and take care of a group of institutionalized people with down's syndrome. Humor is one of the only ways to cope with it... politically incorrect or not.
And yes, Crowder is kind of a jerk, but it will come back to bite him and maybe he will learn from the experiences.
