Well, we still see that certain old movies and TV shows are not shown anymore. Such as, old Stepin Fechit movies, “Song of the South” in particular, and old Charlie Chan movies. These never show up on cable or broadcast TV.

They banned Song of the South a long long time ago. You can find VHS copies on eBay, but they’re expensive and probably degraded.

Hell they put up WARNING TEXT before the replays of Bonanza, The Rifleman, Gunsmoke and such that say a disclaimer warning to viewers to be aware of outdated cultural depictions.
“Beware of cultural differences or some crap like that.”
You know that those old shows use GUNS to SHOOT the Bad Guy, show Church scenes, People caring about, respecting each other and helping their Neighbors and such.
Car jacking, drug use, rape and murder are so much more wholesome you know...
