[snip] As we continue to hear news about the lack of testing kits for the coronavirus here in the US, I am reminded of one of my favorite X-Files episodes where Agent Mulder argues with the Cigarette Smoking Man about the government's use of deception.
Agents Mulder and Scully go on a manhunt for two prison escapees who are infected with a deadly contagion resulting from a leak when a pharmaceutical company sent an infected animal carcass part to an inmate to test its viral effects on humans. This episode makes you question the media: is the coronavirus outbreak over exaggerated? Less wide spread than we are led to believe? Is the government trying to downplay it?
