Islam has a Mount Sinai vibe, but it is not a “morally” superior religion in any way to the Mosaic law. Christianity in the west in 732 found enough vibrancy and the courage to bring force to push back on Islam. It’s been a series of backs and forths for the past 1300 years.
Islam is guilty of it’s own peculiar brands of hedonism that are religiously acceptable and are favorable to grown men(which would not be acceptable to the OT). It is not a morally superior religion but it may be being used as a lash by God to get lackadaisical Christians in line.
(The same way Habakkuk says that God raised up the Chaldeans as a lash to punish Israel)
Nukes are involved in our era and other weapons of nasty effect that weren’t in existence in 732. It won’t be that easy for the Islamists despite all the talk of their “inevitable” rise. I fear for much worse and the Beast will not be an Islamist but the voice of Satan himself!

The secular Left is presently a far greater enemy than Islam. The political Left has control of Western militaries (and thus the nukes). Christianity (as a whole) increasingly doesn’t have the moral confidence to fix its own house; and it will be diminished - not by Islam - but by Leftist ideologues. The return of Christ is the cure, and all Christians must have hope that it will occur relatively soon, BUT if it does not occur soon and decades, centuries, or longer roll by, then the call of The Faith will move the hearts of men less and less and less. People have thought the return of the Messiah was imminent countless times in the past only to be wrong. Let’s hope it’s not that way this time.
