35,000 seats is gigantic?
The money with all stadiums is the luxury boxes sold to corporations. Not the seats where the average Joe buys a ticket. That and the money they generate from their own TV broadcasts. The Oakland As own the rights to the TV broadcasts. Not Major League Baseball. That is why the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, Braves, etc can afford the most expensive players.

Fenway Park is just shy of 40,000 and it is a postage stamp ballpark compared to most others.
Yeah, I wondered that too. I live in the Seattle area, and Safeco Field (home of the Mariners) is nearly 48,000 seats.
