We lost a cat to diabetes last year, and then his sister’s blood sugar levels began to creep upward steadily. We changed her kibble to a different brand (Tiki Cat), and ... hooray! ... she had improved when they did her blood panel last time.
There is so much crap in the regular food, as you say.
Daisy gets organic chicken, egg, and sweet potato crunchies from PetSmart. They are so popular, Chewy and AMZ don’t even try to stock them. If I didn’t carefully measure out her meals, she’s be one fat kitty girl.
