He did not deny it. Apparently saying this out loud offends the sensibilities of the Democrats. They are not bothered by the fact that Swallwell did indeed do this. Instead they were offended that anyone would say anything publicly about it.
So, the politically privileged side can riot in the Tennessee legislature and be honored by the President, but the politically unprivileged can’t even utter a truth in their legislature if it reflects badly on the politically privileged. Got it. Meanwhile the press piously chirps that it isn’t hypocrisy when we do it. Right.
