That’s pretty cool. I’m related to Lucy Ball (and I believe Katherine Hepburn) through maternal line. On paternal side we found out they changed the surname upon coming to the States so for the longest time I thought we had an English coat of arms, instead I’ve got ancestors that were listed in concentration camps.

My Mom did extensive research on our family many years ago and on her side there was a Franconia Chopin. But my Mom never could pin down whether she was a blood relative or married into the family. Back then people died so often one person might be married 3-4 times so hard to know who was the mother of the children. But one of my distant cousins is the curator of the historical society in Brownsburg, Indiana and she’s the one who told us about being first cousins 10 times removed from Ben Franklin and that we had a relative that fought in the revolutionary war.
