The pandemic was probably the result of a "research-related incident" at a laboratory in Wuhan, China, a lengthy US Senate report concluded.
It said the theory that Covid-19 jumped from animals to humans in a market no longer deserved the "presumption of accuracy".
The 300-page report, released to Axios, was the full version of a 35-page summary published in October by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
It said: "The Covid-19 pandemic was, more likely than not, the result of a research-related incident.
"New information, made publicly available and independently verifiable, could change this assessment.
"However, the hypothesis of a natural zoonotic origin no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt, or the presumption of accuracy."
The report suggested that advocates of the natural transmission theory "must provide clear and convincing evidence" for their argument.
It concluded: "The preponderance of information affirms the plausibility of a research-related incident that was likely unintentional resulting from failures of biosafety containment during vaccine-related research."
Scientists, and US intelligence, have been divided over whether the pandemic originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology [WIV], which had been collecting and manipulating bat viruses, or from a natural spillover at a Wuhan market selling live animals.
The report said there were "anomalies" between Covid-19 and other diseases that have spilled over naturally from animals to humans.
And it said, three years on, no critical evidence had been found proving there was a natural spillover.

There is nothing conclusive in the “report”. All it says is kinda maybe we think we might have some ideas but we really don’t know anything except maybe it’s possible that it was probably an accident, but we’re not really sure, and we don’t want to say anything definitive just in case other facts come to light.
I have very serious questions about the leak being accidental I STILL firmly believe that the hysteria was created deliberately to get rid of Trump!! MANY, MANY lives were lost due to ventilation that was NOT needed, spreading it through nursing homes deliberately AND tickers on EVERY damn news station creating panic!! MANY lives could have been saved with the correct supplements, ivermectin, or Hydroxy!! Fauci was behind this WITH China Trump HAD TO GO, the end justified the means it has become damn SCAREY the absolute power of the media and government!!>
And by "no critical evidence" they mean 'no evidence at all.' Zip, zilch, nada, zero. Not a single animal with SARS-CoV-2 has been found anywhere that didn't get it from a human after the pandemic got rolling.

I believe it was infected lab test animals that died and were thrown into disposal bins. One of the workers did some dumpster diving and pulled the dead animals out to be sold in the wet market.

Their first position was that it was natural, from bats and seafood markets. That was their position when they KNEW and concealed that they invented it at Chapel Hill and moved it to Wuhan.
That means this current position is a fallback lie cover story.
It was released on purpose to stop the massive protests spreading across China that started in Wuhan and Hong Kong. The second purpose which had allies in DC and Wall Street was to stop Trump.
ON PURPOSE.
