It took me several 10 minute sessions, but I finished the full Tucker Carlson interview with Mattias Desmet on rumble. What a truly remarkable interview and God bless Tucker for allowing the man to speak! I was astonished by the quality of information Desmet presented, the relationship of his ideas to known history, and his ideas about how to continue to battle mass formation psychosis (MFP). I was even emotional at times when I recognized myself in his words as they relate to my work, hobbies and relationships. What I heard -

1. MFP has existed as long as mankind has existed - it was foundational to the Crusades, the Salem witch hunts, the French Revolution, Holodomor, and of course Nazi Germany.
2 The higher the level of education of a population, the more vulnerable they are to MFP.
3. The masses who become victims of the psychosis have never been more than 30% of any population. 60-65% of the people don’t believe the narrative but they go along, take the easy path and never speak out against the psychosis. 5-10% of the people speak out and refuse to go along with the narrative.
4. For every historical occasion of MFP, there has always been an outspoken group of dissidents. They’re highly heterogeneous and there’s no predicting who will fall into this diverse group. The only characteristic they seem to share is a willingness to speak the truth, rather than take the easy path.
5. People often become prone to MFP because of their extreme loneliness. A full 40% reported not having even one close relationship and felt disconnected from the natural and social environment. Jumping on the covid bandwagon made them feel important and connected to others by engaging in a collective heroic battle.
6. The 30% in the grip of MFP lose all awareness of their individual interests and will self-sacrifice for the cause. While under the psychosis, they become radically intolerant of dissidents, and will try to destroy everyone who doesn’t go along with the narrative. They’re so brainwashed that they believe it’s their ethical duty to destroy those speaking against the narrative.
7. Totalitarianism requires an unspoken, diabolical pact between the formed mass and their leaders. As the narrative and power of those under the spell of MFP grows, so does the totalitarianism. The only way to break the mass formation is for the dissident forces, who are the majority (5-10% speaking out plus 60-65% going along), to speak out against the narrative. It disrupts the hypnosis. Continually speaking out continually disrupts.
8. Technology is creating the loneliness that makes people prone to MFP. Relationships with actual people and with the environment are forfeited in favour of virtual relationships.
9. The pursuit of rational knowledge (RK) alone will never allow us to figure out the mystery of life. In fact, it impairs it because we become more disconnected from each other and the environment, both of which make us more susceptible to MFP. The part of our reality that can be understood in a rational way has always been limited. Every activity we engage in has a practical element, but once we truly learn it, we begin to develop a “feel” for it. This feel for whatever the activity is transcends all rational understanding. This is the point at which we begin to resonate with the art we’re practicing and get in touch with the eternal, ethical understanding of what it means to be human.
10. Rational knowledge can never touch the truth of the human experience, and the dogged pursuit of only RK leads to a transhumanist ideology. Some begin to believe we can control everything and become God-like. It’s seductive, but it’s destructive to our souls, our day-to-day lives and the overall essence of life.
11. It’s important that the 5-10% of dissidents model and promote ethical principles in order to re-humanize those in the grip of MFP. We must counter their untruths whenever possible to break up the narrative in their minds and their communications. Those in the 60-65% go-along group also need to leave their comfort zones and join the dissidents to overwhelm the 30% mass.

RitaOK, I know you posted the interview three times hoping someone would comment, which makes me think it had a similarly substantial impact on you too. I gave a detailed summary above, but I didn’t do the whole interview justice. I second the urge to watch the hour-long interview for a full appreciation of Desmet’s observations as they apply to our current situation. Thank you again, Rita.

True. A synopsis is unfair to the depth, and to the natural extrapolations that come from such depth. Sort of doing like a paragraph synopsis of the KJV Holy Bible. Always more striking is the vitals left out.

I oppose a break down of solemn subjects.

I believe people are rather destined for choosing ignorance, or say even apathy and then must strain to make it look respectable. (It’s kind of amusing when it predictably appears.)

Also, my long confirmed personal observation is that people respect nothing, of either internal or eternal Value, for which they do not have to Reach.

If the name TUCKER didn’t draw, and such recent, timely title, “MASS FORMATION & MODERN SOCIETY” (concerning this very hour) and if the interesting name of “Desmet” failed to draw a burp, then for me that becomes after three tries, failing to draw a burp... it becomes my obligation to recognize a vacuum and of course resisting punching at air.

I am impressed that you were interested, but not surprised. I would have guessed. You, first, actually. The interview suits your both your interest and patient processing, regarding the psychology of man. It becomes you, I think, of course. 😊

For me it’s a triple listen to appreciate the Desmet solution. The thing is a hit because of its secular approach. I want to recall how soon in my listen, for me to trace back to when I picked up that coming was going to have to be that *something* more.

So much knowledge flowed to digest, I had to hear him say it, to confirm to myself that he was whom he is.

The comments below that rumble version— tears were expressed. I “get” your reaction. ❤️🥰
