Your meat aspic, with hot sauce and a side of vodka represents a potentially perfect culinary moment. Especially for an American in Eastern Europe sidled up to a little street shop that only serves aspic, hot sauce, and vodka who has only about $2.50 worth of local currency. Especially if the plates and silverware are chained to the bench in front of you, and the hot sauce is enclosed in a steel container that also is chained to the bench. Literally one of the best meals of my life.
I am not at all averse to congealed beef, seeing as how my wife is Dutch, and we love the Bitterballen. But chaining up the Hot sauce? Things must have been kind of edgy there.
I’m confused, but then, I’ve never seen a potluck event. If I understand this correctly, she’s saying everyone should bring enough for everyone. In that case, given 30 people, is everyone expected to eat 30 different portions, right there and then?
She’s just upset he didn’t bring any Bud-Light.
One person bringing one pizza is perfectly fine. You are supposed to bring as much as you and one other person would eat. I’m a Baptist. I know these things.
There was a time I would have hammered that at 3:00 a.m. after a case of beer.
