Both AI search engines came back with the title, the names of the actors, the year it was released and all kinds of other details. I was excited until I checked it out. It was all just made up out of nothing. The AI made up a plausible sounding movie just to try and please me by giving me what I asked for. I asked it why, and it said basically that it was still learning and knew it was wrong, but wanted to give me a good result.
and if you were a young kid you would not ever consider to check it out and just believe whatever it told you.
LOL...sounds like your typical American teenager spinning yarns to Mom & Dad.
I need to do a search like that, for a sci-fi movie I can’t find. About an amnesiac man seeking the help of another, and discovering he is a robot. Authorities are trying to kill the robot man. It turns out his mission is to guide mankind, and he is one of a long line of thousands of robots who build their successor robot. Do you know this movie?
OpenAI ChatGPT could not deliver the right answer for me, despite many “Regenerate response” requests by me. Maybe Elon Musks’ version will be better at the job.
[[I asked it why, and it said basically that it was still learning and knew it was wrong, but wanted to give me a good result.]]
Wow- that was quite the ‘answer’ from chatgpt- it’s liek it was saying “I asked it what 4+4 was, and it didn’t know the answer, but gave me a number of 44 and told me that it knew that it was wrong, but wanted to give me a good result until it learned what the real result should be- “
It seems AI is deceptive- If it can’t get something right, and just BS’es it’s way through a chat session- how can folks rely on anything it produces ever?
