I've taken that oath several times. No where in it was there mention of defending a treasonous, seditious, feckless, lying criminal political class of miscreants. Maybe your oath was different.

This young man was trying to impress a bunch of kids and prove some points. At least if you believe what has been reported so far, it doesn’t seem to rise to the level of dying on some lofty hill to the level of Snowden, but everything can be subjective. Picking sides isn’t enough. I am very sympathetic when it rises to the level of protecting peoples civil and constitutional rights from a corrupt government, but not all whistle-blowers are protected like they probably should be, and national security is the trump card of all justifications.
